The Bow Tie

There really are not many men out there that have an affect on me when it comes to clothes and putting an outfit together, but this gentlemen did. And for that, he made my day. Bow ties were my favourite neck adornments to wear back during the years 2005-07 whilst i was studying at CSM plus i added them to my final collection because no one on road was really rocking them. But since then people caught on (which is a good thing!), but for me i tend to force myself away from the ubiquitous pieces until it becomes extinct again! I personally prefer to move on to different things.
A lovely conversation was shared today with this gentlemen and so true to style since the 1940s he says he has been. The peak lapels show this 40s style. Plus his playfulness with colour completes his get up. The way he has composed all the elements together is why i can appreciate the Bow tie again.

New Sketches

Capecod Vintage Car Show

I did not leave New York just to experience a vintage car show based in Capecod. I went for a relaxed time away from the metropolis.
I am truly convinced that the sharp eye for detail was far better once upon a time than it is today. But then you could say that about the architecture of back in the day and today, the clothes and much more. Look at the interior and insignias that complete the motors.

The Septuagenarian With Sprezzatura Style!

Whilst at work, i clocked this guy strolling around calmly behind his daughter with his wife who was buying some fabrics for her own personal collection. He had so much style it made me want his picture. His daughter told me he was 82 years young and that he is a tailor who lives in France and did not speak a word of English. His daughter translated my respects to him for me. Here he rocks one of his own jackets. And even though the stitching may be slightly off and the top button is puckering a bit, (to all the meticulous ones out there being too critical...ha), it is simple, classic and he smacks it with ease.

Best Of British

Almost 10 years ago now, both Bill Owen and Albert Trotter passed away.
Bill known for his child-like and scruffy role as Compo in the Brit Sitcom Last Of The Summer Wine shown beneath and Uncle Albert in Only Fools and Horses were two of my favourite old characters. They wore the finest threads that would make any RRL or rugged fanatic shed nuff tears!
