Trouser Details

Trousers are great investments to me, so i tend to buy ones with lots of detail or interesting shapes. The top picture is a pair of 1930s suit trousers and the bottom two are an old pair of 1940s trousers. Lining like this have become so obsolete , in this type of quality anyway.
Most vintage Tailored trousers were made to measure for the individual and thats why i find that most pieces i have bought are made for my size and have been cut properly as apposed to mass produced.

Watches For Sale

Two watches for sale, one is a 'Reyco' dated from the late 30s to the 40s and the other is a 50s 'Culmina watch co' piece. Both are classic and have some age in their faces, but other than that look the dogs bullocks. I shall be at the market on saturday.

Interesting Initiatives

As i step outside my yard, i see a 'reusable recycle' bag hanging on my gate which explains in detail that it can be used as wallpaper. Its design was based on old illustrations and monochrome colours. I think its a playful idea for a bag.

Off To the Province With The Boys

A few close gents of mine have agreed that a little holiday would be a healthy way to wrap up the summer. And decided to pack up our most prized man bags, each one owned from us are straight from the 1920s-30s Era and we will then be ready to take over the world in style. Four men dressed head to toe in decked out vintage. We are heading to a quiet resort in the South of France. I guess you could say it will be like the Wild Hogs film with the concept of a 'boys' outing but on some new Gentlemens level!
Straight chess, and debates are a must. And of course nothing like a bit of Polo. Maybe a bit of The Famous Grouse Whisky to add to the mood...

The Infamous Stylish Pair

Here are the American actors Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Pickford spending some time off set during the 20s.

Music Video

Belleville Rendez-Vous

i have to say, this is one of my favourite illustrated movies of all time.
It is just stunning. The use of colour, and line is so immaculate. If you ever have time in you day or become bored one evening at home whilst it rains then watch this. Its about Madame Souza and how
she assists her grandson to prepare for the Tour De France...
