Savile Row

Savile Row is illustrious for its name, elegance, class, true style, artistry and craftsmanship for British bespoke tailoring. I love walking along the Row to view all of its young tailors, apprentices, and all their offerings within the known shops.

For well over 200 years the 'Street Of A Thousand Needles' has drawn some of the most skilled tailors to it. Some of the worlds renowned Leaders and icons have visited the most prestigious street to have one of the top cutters make a second skin for them. From the likes of Sinatra, Cary Grant, Fred Astaire, Crowned heads, Statesmen and many more to mention...

One of my favourites would have to be Maurice Sedwell. His way of creating a suit is very inspiring. Cutting the suit in harmony to ones body and from beginning to end all to be hand finished.

Whilst working with Paul Smith in London i was fortunate to work close to PS's personal tailors at Westbourne house. John, Chris and Tom. (If you happen to be in the area pop in and send my regards!) They taught me vast quantities of information and are some of the best out there. John having worked with one of the houses on Savile Row helped me develop a good eye for proportion and the skills of measuring the male body from scratch.

They say that most see Savile Row as archaic but i believe that kind of statement is just the ignorant speaking from fear of whatever that could be...You cant dress like a kid all of your life.
